Pre-enrolment for students with non-EU citizenship

If you are a non EU citizen living outside Italy, in addition to compliance with the rules and deadlines established by the University of Bologna, you must pre-enrol at the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Study grants and financial aid

The University of Bologna offers to deserving international students who wish to register for First Cycle Degree Programmes at the University of Bologna for A.Y. 2018/19:

The study grants and the tuition fee waivers are assigned on the basis of SAT , for one academic year.

Timing and methods:

  • Publication of the call for applications: January 2018
  • Applications deadline: April 30, 2018
  • Publication of results: May 2018
Important: you must take the SAT test by the application deadline. The only upcoming date to take the SAT outside the U.S.A. is March 10, 2018, with registration deadline on February 9, 2018.

University students may obtain economic support during their studies from the Emilia Romagna Region, the University of Bologna and other external bodies.
