Study plan

A study plan is a set of all the exams you have to take in order to graduate.

Students can fill out the study plan during the following periods:

First period: from October 16, 2017 to November 17, 2017
Second period: form February 12, 2018 to March 9, 2018

Students that have to create their study plan have three options to make their choice:

A) AUTOMATIC APPROVAL by using Studenti Online:

·         to choose “Elective courses” and the “Courses Freely Chosen By The Student”,

·         choose or change choices made in previous years.

B) CONDITIONAL APPROVAL by using Studenti Online: to choose among courses provided by the School of Engineering and Architecture in Bologna and Ravenna, students have to search on “Qualsiasi attività della Vice Presidenza della Scuola di Ingegneria e Architettura sede di Bologna”. In this case the study plan will be examined by the Degree Programme Board and the result of the evaluation will be visible on the student Studenti Online’s profile.

C) CONDITIONAL APPROVAL by using the Application form (paper form):

 - to choose of change curriculum;

- to choose other courses delivered by the University of Bologna (not provided by Degree programmes belonging to the School of Engineering and Architecture in Bologna and Ravenna),

students are required to fill out the Application form – paper form (available in the Attachment box) and to hand-deliver it to the Student Administration Office (check here the office hours). These students should not use the Studenti Online service.

Students "fuori corso"

(past envisaged completion time for the degree course) or transferred students (from a degree programme to another, from a School to another, from a university to another):

These students should not use the Studenti Online service but they are required to fill out the Application form – paper form (available in the Attachment box) and to hand-deliver it to the Student Administration Office (check here the office hours).

Students going abroad for study pourpouses

(Erasmus, Overseas, dual degree, free mover, etc.):

The learning agreement represents a provisional study plan, to be converted into the final study plan when the student returns.

Neither the online study plan on Studenti Online service nor the Application form – paper form are required.

Preparation for the final examination abroad

Students of Master’s Degrees (Laure Magistrali), enrolled from a.y. 2016/17, can select the activity Preparation for the final examination abroad (among the Type “E” activities), if included in their course structure diagram. This choice implies that an activity of thesis preparation abroad is performed during an Erasmus+ Study or Overseas mobility period or as a consequence of being assigned a scholarship or grant for Thesis Abroad, or during a different kind of mobility authorized by the Degree Programme.

If the decision of performing an activity of thesis preparation abroad is reached after the periods set for study plan submission, students can nevertheless add the activity Preparation for the final examination abroad to their career by including it in their Learning Agreement (for Erasmus+ Study or Overseas mobility periods), or by sending a request to the International Mobility Office of the School of Engineering and Architecture in case they have been awarded a scholarship or grant for Thesis Abroad.

Internship for preparation for the final examination

Students of Master’s Degrees (Laure Magistrali), enrolled from a.y. 2016/17, who wish to perform an Internship for preparation for the final examination / Internship abroad for preparation for the final examination (among the Type “E” activities) can add it to their study plan online, during the periods set for study plan submission.

If the decision of performing an internship in preparation for the final examination is reached after the periods set for study plan submission, the activity will be added to the student’s study plan by the Internship Office of the School of Engineering and Architecture when they submit their internship application through the proper software.
For the Internship abroad for preparation for the final examination which is performed during an Erasmus+ Traineeship program mobility, the activity will be added to the student’s career when included in the Learning Agreement for Traineeship.

WARNINGS:

·         Incomplete application forms will not be considered!

·         Students are required to pay attention to fill out the application form (personal data and contact details (phone number above all!).

·         Students must be aware that courses changes or choices have to be coherent with the last study plan, if submitted in the previous academic year (i.e. it is possible to substitute a course type F for another course type F and not with a course type A, B, C, or D).
