Meeting with Barnaba Fornasetti (organized by Prof. Gianluca Lo Vetro)
Within the "Biennale del disegno", a study day on the 'cinemato-graphic' graphics by Fellini and Fornasetti will take place on Sunday, May 29th at Rimini's city museum (Museo della Città di Rimini):
03.30 P.M. - Museo della Città di Rimini (Sala del Giudizio): Meeting with Barnaba Fornasetti (with interventions by Massimo Pulini and Daniela Lorenzi).
05.00 P.M. - Museo della Città di Rimini (Sala Fellini): Art display of the new book Temi e Variazioni. The first series 1-100. For the first time, Fornasetti's graphic genius will be compared to Fellini's cinematographic genius to reveal their various and surprising affinities.
Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) has been one of the most eclectic artists of the 20th Century. He has produced over 11.000 works of art (paintings, graphics and incisions). He has been discovered in 1940 by Giò Ponti, becoming then his close collaborator. Since 1988, the artistic inheritage left by Piero has been gathered, conserved and developped by his son Barnaba.
