The award is dedicated to the memory of the union official Carlo Canini from Rimini, untimely deceased in 2005, who fought for the rights of the hospitality industry workers for a long time in his role of regional executive of FILCAMS and confederal executive of CGIL.
Filcams CGIL Emilia-Romagna and the CGIL Trades Union Centre in Rimini invites nominations for its annual dissertation award about the working conditions in the seasonal hospitality industry in order to bring to light the real working conditions in the aforesaid field considering the process of diversification of the types of contracts applied by the firms, and to improve the elaboration of contractual policies of the collective protection of workers. Two awards will be granted, one for the best Bachelor’s degree and one for the best Master’s degree.
