Dual Degree with Columbia University

After the Bachelor Degree I was looking for a challenging course that could introduce me in an international environment with the opportunity to study in one of the most famous university of the world. The International Master Course in Civil Engineering at University of Bologna gave me the opportunity to pursue this objective.
Courses as Design of Large Scale Building and Design of Large Scale Bridges sustained at Columbia U. improved my skills as a structural engineer and allow me to use most of the tools learned during my university career.
Working at those projects with people from all around the world its very challenging and improved my leadership dramatically
Moreover, because of the wide range of courses offered, I had the opportunity to study new topics that gave me different careers opportunity
The first year at Bologna was helpful entering in an International environment. It allowed me to become familiar with technical English and to interact with people from different cultures. Moreover courses provided an excellent background and made my life quite easy during the MS at Columbia U.
Life in New York is an incredible experience, more than what you expect. You will enjoy every minute of it; from the Saturday morning brunch, to the late night dinner with your teamwork after a long study day
The first week may be stressful if you are not familiar with the country, but Columbia’s staff is helpful in every situation, you only need to ask for help
I am graduating at the end of March and so far the program seems to be very helpful. I already did some interviews for different positions both in Italy and Unites States and employers appreciate my background. The new topics studied at Columbia University gave me the opportunity to consider even challenging careers out from the Civil Engineering field.
