What OFAs Are
To enrol in the Programme, it is important that you possess certain basic knowledge. The knowledge assessment—whose procedures are detailed on the page Enrolling in the Programme—aims to verify that you do not have significant gaps in specific subjects where adequate preparation is required in order to successfully follow the Programme.
If the assessment reveals gaps in one or more areas, you can still enrol, but you will be required to complete some additional activities, known as Additional Learning Requirements (OFA).
OFAs and Enrolment in Subsequent Academic Years
If you have been assigned an OFA, in the academic year following enrolment you will be registered:
-
in the second year if you have already fulfilled the OFA;
-
in the second year with conditions until you fulfil the OFA and, in any case, until 31 March 2027. As soon as you fulfil the OFA, your enrolment status will change from “second year with conditions” to “second year”. If you do not fulfil the OFA by 31 March 2027, you will be registered as a first-year repeating student.
How to Fulfil OFAs
The Additional Learning Requirement consists of compulsory attendance of remedial courses focused on the gaps identified in the test.
Registration
The assigned Additional Learning Requirement is considered fulfilled once you pass the assessment at the end of the course or during the following three exam sessions that will be organised during the academic year.
Deadlines
The deadline to fulfil OFAs is 31 March 2027, which coincides with the last possible date of the exam session for the enrolment academic year.
The OFA rules and deadlines also apply to students who have chosen the flexible pathway.
