The curricular internship is a training experience, included in the study plan of the degree programme, aimed at completing academic education through practical experiences.
a curricular internship is an experience intended to complete your University education by carrying out practical work in structures within or outside the University, in Italy or abroad, and to obtain the credits expected for your course of study.
You can choose one of the following internship options among the electives :
If you choose the first option: "Internship", you will carry it out at private companies, public institutions, professional firms etc, either in Italy or abroad.
If you choose the second option: "RASHIP", you will carry it out within a Unibo laboratories, research centres and admin offices, carrying out tasks supporting their activities, or acting as a Research Assistant of a faculty member of the Department of Management (DISA) of the University of Bologna.

You can set up your internship from the end of the second semester of the second year (during the Summer) and/or during the third year, after selecting it in your study plan (please read the information on how to modify the study plan).

The University of Bologna has an internship database, called SOL-Internships. Companies and institutions that have an agreement with the University of Bologna may publish their internship offers there. You may, alternatively:
N.B. Students cannot carry out internships within a host organisation whose legal representative, director or business associate has family ties with the student applicant.
From 2022/2023 internships, as well as all other academic activities, must be carried out in presence, the academic tutor only, once checked the internship program can authorize students to work remotely.

NB: You have to complete the Health and Safety Training Courses (Module 1 and Module 2) before starting your internship. The certificates check is the responsability of the hosting company.

If you have completed an external activity (a non-curricular internship, a placement, etc.) that you think is relevant to your study field, you can ask for its recognition as a curricular internship. Check the information on how to submit your request, as in the attachment box.
