Please read carefully the information in the call for applications, it is the official document where you can find how to apply and enrol in the degree programme.
For the a.y. 2024/25 students will be assessed exclusively via SAT General Test.
SAT stands for "Scholastic Assessment Test" and it is a test in English managed by CollegeBoard. You can take the test in different locations all over the world. Each test date and venue has limited capacity. Make sure you register at your earliest convenience to be included as a test taker at you preferred location.
Please also note that Starting from 2023 the SAT is going digital! DIGITAL means that you will have to take the test IN PERSON on your PC: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/digital

For the academic year 2024/2025 60 positions are available in two intakes:

Please note: applying for the correct quota is essential in order to complete the enrolment if you are admitted to the the degree programme. Carefully check the quota you have to refer to at the link https://www.unibo.it/en/international/Who-are-international-students
For non-EU citizens with equivalent status, please check very carefully which types of residence permit allow for the equivalence. If you participate in the selection process as a non-EU citizen with equivalent status without being in possession of the equivalence requirements, you will not be able to complete the enrolment even if you have already been admitted and paid for the first instalment.
Additional 5 positions are reserved to special programmes:
Candidates participating in special programmes must meet different deadlines and different procedures (for ex. exclusively for special programmes, the SAT test is not required.)

After checking the admission requirements (in the call for applications), you have to:
1. TAKE THE SAT-GENERAL TEST
Register on www.collegeboard.org and enrol in the SAT-General Test. Please check the dates and procedures to take the test at https://satsuite.collegeboard.org. You do not need to take the ESSAY part of the SAT Test because it does not supply any additional score.
2. SEND YOUR SAT SCORE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA
Regardless of where you take the SAT test, it is mandatory to ask to the College Board to forward your SAT scores to the University of Bologna, using code 6993.
Please note that scores may take at least 3 weeks to be received.
The SAT score is considered valid if:

Register on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it) and apply for the CLAME programme paying the 20€ application fee.

The ranking is based on the score received in the SAT test (i.e., SAT Score/10) and it is published on Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it).

In case candidates receive the same score, priority will be given to the youngest candidate.
There's no a minimum score required but if you obtain a score lower than 500/800 in the Math section of the SAT, you will be assigned an Additional learning requirements (OFA – Obbligo formativo aggiuntivo).
You can fulfil the OFA passing the 1st year mathematics exam.
You cannot complete the enrolment in the 2nd year until you pass pass the Mathematics exam (if you are assigned the OFA): you will be enrolled in the second year for the a.y. 2025/2026 sub condicione, until the OFA is completed. If you fulfil the OFA (passing 1st year “Mathematics” exam) within the deadline of March 31st 2026, you will be regularly enrolled in the second year otherwise you will be enrolled in the first year again (repeating).

Tuition fees are calculated based on the 2024 ISEE value with special subsidies in relation to the right to higher education. First year students with an ISEE of less than or equal to € 27,000. Above this limit, tuition fees are calculated progressively.
The ISEE value must be submitted, even if you have not enrolled in the Degree Programme, by 30 October 2024, at 6:00pm (or by 15 November 2024, at 6:00pm, paying a 100 € penalty) accessing ER-GO Online Services, alternatively you will have to pay the full amount.
If you are an international student, verify how your tuition fees will be calculated according to your country of origin and the country where your family has income and assets.
