Why ETAC?

Economics of Tourism And Cities offers an economical and managerial approach to the analysis of tourism industries, smart cities and complex interactions between tourism and urban systems.  It provides students with the cultural and technical profile required to join, as a manager or professional, private and public enterprises in the contexts of touristic industries and smart cities.


Who is eligible?

ETAC is a restricted-access programme. Anyone with an Italian Diploma di Maturità can apply. And if you have a non-Italian secondary school certificate, check here for more details and the specific documents you need to provide. How many students will be admitted?

  • 80 EU citizens and NON EU with with equivalent status
  • 40 NON EU citizens  (Visa for study mandatory)

Selection procedure

To be defined. Full details will be stated in the Call for Applications 2025/26.

All candidates will be required to sit an official test, based on SAT General test, which is an international test in English managed by CollegeBoard , and stands for “Scholastic Assessment Test.” 

Key points

SAT General Test 

  • When registering for the SAT on the College Board website use the same personal email address that you will use as "private email" to apply to ETAC through the portal Studenti Online.
  • Before sitting the test or once you have taken the test, submit your request to send your score to the University of Bologna using code 6993. Do it as early as possible, so that we receive the score within the application deadline. You can do this directly from the College Board website.

When is my application complete?

All deadlines will be stated on the Call for applications when ready.

Is an English language certificate required? 

A good score on SAT will be a sufficient proof for us of your English skills. No linguistic certificate is required for admission.  

Keep in mind that the language of instruction for ETAC is English: a proficiency level of at least at B2 level is necessary to effectively complete the programme. 

Is Italian language required for international students?

English is the language of instruction, but some basic Italian will facilitate your everyday life in Rimini. No Italian certificate is required.

When can I apply?

The general agenda is stated in the Call for applications. Deadlines will be available around January 2025.

Tuition Fee Amounts

Tuition fees are calculated based on the 2024 ISEE value with special subsidies in relation to the right to higher education. First year students with an ISEE of less than or equal to € 27,000. Above this limit, tuition fees are calculated progressively.

The ISEE value must be submitted, even if you have not enrolled in the Degree Programme, by 30 October 2024, at 6:00pm (or by 15 November 2024, at 6:00pm, paying a 100 € penalty) accessing ER-GO Online Services, alternatively you will have to pay the full amount.

If you are an international student, verify how your tuition fees will be calculated according to your country of origin and the country where your family has income and assets.

Matriculation

After you have checked that all the admission requirements have been met, you can enrol on  Studenti Online:

  1. fill in the application for matriculation with the required information and attach a passport photo in digital format;
  2. pay the first instalment of your tuition fees;
  3. follow the instructions to complete the procedure which you will find on Studenti Online according to your profile.
