It is a high-level training course on engineering issues capable of providing operational skills and capabilities that can be immediately used in advanced technology industrial sectors.
The Academy was born as a result of the collaboration between Leonardo and the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Federico II University of Naples and is part of the University project to offer training opportunities increasingly integrated with the world of work.
The initiative, aimed at students selected with a special call (deadline 06/06/2022) and in possession of a qualification equal to at least a three-year degree in engineering or other scientific disciplines, will take place from June 2022 to March 2023 on the Leonardo site in Pomigliano d'Arco (Naples)
The training activities, carried out in English by university professors and Leonardo experts, involve a total commitment of nine months, full-time, of which a maximum of six in the classroom on research and higher education in the aerospace sector and at least three of project work conducted in Leonardo factories on the analysis, application and evolution of case studies of work experience.
Attendance at the Academy is recognized by the Neapolitan university as an internship or additional knowledge and can be used for the preparation of the Master's Degree. Furthermore, upon obtaining the certificate of participation, the attendees will receive a scholarship.
The Aerotech Academy 2022 educational program is divided into three strands (core technologies of aerostructures, industry 4.0 and digitalization, challenges for new generation aircraft), each of which is further divided into specific in-depth studies.
