“VeneToStars” is a three-year project to promote the design, implementation and dissemination of innovative solutions using space-derived data and/or technologies.

The theme of the 2023 edition was the agri-food sector.

The 2024 edition chose the theme of the protection, valorisation and development of innovative services of the cultural heritage and UNESCO sites of the Veneto Region.  “VeneToStars” is aimed at young innovators from all over Europe, between 18 and 25 years of age, who will propose their ideas from 1 February to 15 April 2024. Ten finalist teams will be invited to Venice from 20 to 22 May to participate in the Space Meetings Veneto and to meet regional and national stakeholders.

The winning team will have the opportunity to be hosted for a week in Veneto to meet companies, universities, investors, end users and concretely apply the idea to a pilot project.

The objective of "VeneToStar" is to educate and increase knowledge among young people regarding the opportunities related to the use of spatial data (or technologies) and their benefits for the protection of cultural heritage, starting from those of the Region, to increase awareness that Space can have an impact in many sectors and obviously attract young talents from all over Europe.
