Knowledge of the English language at least at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required.
The English Language requirement can be fulfilled uploading in your applications one of the following documents:
- English language certificate at B2 level at least, issued after January 1st, 2023 among those indicated in the ‘AICLU Table’ on the website of the University Language Centre - CLA: https://centri.unibo.it/cla/it/riconoscimento-idoneita-linguistica
- Certificates (or self-certificate in case of Italian public institutions) that your high school or university education has been held in English;
- Certificates (or self-certificate in case of Italian public University) that you passed an English Language exam at B2 level at least, not before January 1st, 2023
- Self-certification of an OOPT test at B2 level at least taken for the admission in other degree programmes of the University of Bologna not before January 1st, 2023
- Certification or self-certification of English mother tongue status.
Candidates who do not submit one of the certificates (or self-certifications) may take the OOPT (Oxford Online Placement Test)
FOR THE FIRST INTAKE:
Sending an e-mail to em.info@unibo.it within ten days before the day of the OOPT test that will take place in one of the following dates (until all seats are taken):
- March 10th, 2026, at 9.30 a.m.
- April 14th, 2026, at 9.30 a.m.
- April 21st, 2026, at 9.30 a.m.
otherwise, after the posting of the shortlist of candidates meeting the admission requirements, candidates who have to take the English language test will be invited by the Admission committee to take the OOPT TEST on May 12th - 14th at 9.30 a.m.
FOR THE SECOND INTAKE:
Sending an e-mail to didatticaforli.em.info@unibo.it within ten days before the day of the OOPT test that will take place in one of the following dates (until all seats are taken):
- June 9th at 9.30 a.m.
- June 16th at 9.30 a.m.
otherwise, after the posting of the shortlist of candidates meeting the admission requirements, candidates who have to take the English language test will be invited by the Admission committee to take the OOPT TEST on July 7th and 9th at 9.30 a.m.
The number of available positions for each test is limited; therefore, candidates are invited to register as soon as possible for the available sessions, without waiting for the Examination Board to contact them.
Moreover, please note that each student can take the test only once among the dates organised by the University Language Centre of the Romagna Campuses (Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna, Rimini) in the 2026/27 academic year selections.
