Neoma Business School

The study plan abroad includes core courses, the choice of a specialization and the dissertation for a total of 70 ECTS.

The core courses are:

•  Leading Responsibly in Complex Environments – 2 ECTS
•  Shape your Career – 1 ECTS
•  The C-suite simulation – 3 ECTS
• Dissertation -  14 ECTS

The professional experience/internship is not included in this Double Degree exchange program, hence it is not possible for Neoma to activate it during the exchange (eventually UniBo could activate an additional internship that would grant extra credits - but it will not be possibile to graduate at UniBo before the end of the interhsip)

Specializations are available at the Reims and Rouen campuses.

The specializations may vary each year. The details of the courses for each specialization and the presentation brochure are attached to this webpage. 

The students admitted to participate in the double degree programme with Neoma Business School, before departure, have to:

• complete their first year at University of Bologna before the beginning of the mobility programme;
• complete the application form as Double Degree students at the host university according to the deadlines and details provided by the partener university;
• Submit the Learning agreement on https://almarm.unibo.it and complete the other procedures required by the Erasmus programme (such as the Erasmus contract...)

Please note:

In the presentation of the learning agreement, it is necessary to create a SINGLE correspondence group including, on one side, all the activities to be completed abroad (at least 70 credits) and, on the other side, all the activities planned for the second year, including 12 elective credits and the thesis preparation activity abroad (12 credits), while excluding the credits for the final exam discussion. Please see the example below:

During the double degree exchange, it is necessary to complete the activities scheduled at Neoma Business School for a total of at least 70 credits, including the dissertation.

The final thesis must be exclusively prepared according to Neoma's guidelines and with a Neoma supervisor. Since the final examination must also be defended at UniBo, it is necessary to identify a UniBo supervisor, keeping in mind that the dissertation is the one prepared for the partner university. 

If deemed appropriate, the UniBo supervisor may request a small addition of approximately 10 pages, especially for the bibliography section.

It is recommended to communicate the name of the Italian supervisor to didatticaforli.em.info@unibo.it to explain to the Professor the specific procedures for double degree students.

Following the completion of the program with the dissertation, Neoma will convene a jury for the attainment of the French degree.

Generally, exams (and the mobility period) conclude in April, while the jury typically meets at the end of June for the thesis validation.

Upon completing the credits with the dissertation at Neoma, following the Jury (typically at the end of June), Neoma will issue the updated transcript.

It will then be necessary to request the recognition of activities carried out at the foreign institution.  The recognition request is usually submitted through https//almarm.unibo.it. To initiate the request, it is first necessary to send the transcript to didatticaforli.em.info@unibo.it to request the update of the academic record with exams taken abroad. After the student office has performed the update, students receive a notification and can proceed with the request

In order to sumbit your recognition request on almarm, it is necessary to:

• Delete the single equivalence group that was created, without asking for recognitions.
• Create a new correspondence group for each exam taken abroad: in the group, the exam carried out abroad should be listed identically in both the left column (exam taken) and the right column (exam to be recognized). As a result, as many correspondence groups as exams taken must be created, totaling at least 70 credits earned and the same number of credits to be recognized.

The recognition must be approved by the first available Student Committee (the committee meets monthly).

The conversion of grades is approved by the Student Committee, based on the proposal of the exchange program coordinator, Professor Giulio Ecchia, following the ECTS grading scale of the University of Bologna .

The Neoma ECTS table for the a.y. 2022/23 is attached (though it may be subject to annual updates).

Following the Committee's decision, the student affairs office will update the academic record with exams taken abroad to ensure that the student has all examinations recorded before graduation, in accordance with the deadlines specified in the academic calendar.

To fulfill the graduation requirements, it is also imperative to submit a graduation application according to the procedures and deadlines outlined by the academic program. Additionally, the final exam (prepared at Neoma) must be defended at the University of Bologna according to the graduation schedule.

At the end, for the issuance of the University of Bologna diploma, it is necessary to send a copy of the Neoma diploma to the Student Office.
