Preparing the study plan

Information on how to prepare and present a study plan.

WHAT IS A STUDY PLAN?

The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.

WHO CAN PRESENT A STUDY PLAN?

A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of international students, who hold a valid residence permit.

WHEN TO PRESENT YOUR STUDY PLAN

You can present and amend your study plan in two periods during the academic year.

The open windows for the 2024/2025 A.Y. are:

- First period: from 30th September to 20th October 2024

- from 2nd December to 12th December 2024 (only for those student who are completing their matriculation)
- Second period: from 14th January to 21th February 2025

Following expiry of the deadlines, the last study plan presented will be deemed valid and no further amendments may be made.

HOW TO PRESENT YOUR STUDY PLAN

Studenti Online

The study plan can be presented via Studenti Online by enrolled students who, accessing the website using their University usernames and passwords:
- need to add optional subjects to their plan;
- need to choose a curriculum;
- need to amend choices made in prior years.

After making the desired choices, remember to click on “save” so that your study plan can be presented correctly.

It is also advisable to print a copy of your completed study plan. This copy is in fact the only way to check for formal or substantive errors that might arise after uploading your study plan.

Hard-copy forms

Students who are “fuori corso” (past envisaged completion time for the degree course) or who have transferred in cannot use the Studenti Online system and must use the hard-copy forms.
All parts of the form must be completed correctly and delivered to the administrative office, via the email address didatticascaravilli.studenti@unibo.it during opening hours.

APPROVAL OF YOUR STUDY PLAN

If you select elective subjects from among those offered by the degree programme, there is no need for assessment and your plan is approved automatically and input to your career file.

On the other hand, if you want to choose exams not specifically offered by your degree programme, approval or otherwise will be decided by the Degree Programme Board. You must submit your request by filling the form attached at this page (Highlights) and sending it to  didatticascaravilli.studenti@unibo.it

What you CANNOT do:

  • it is not possible to fill in the Study Plan outside the two above mentioned periods;
  • you need to include your chosen modules in your study plan before sitting the exam.
  • ATTENTION: Those enrolled for the academic year 2023/24 to the 2nd year and those enrolled as fuori corso may change the study plan ONLY if they complete the enrolment in the academic year 2024/25, paying the relevant fees. If you choose this option, please note that you will NOT be able to graduate in the graduation session of March 2025 (last session of a.y. 2023/24) and you can only graduate from July 2025, the first session of a.y. 2024/25.
