Graduates with a Master’s Degree in Animal Biotechnology may pursue professional careers in the following fields:
- Universities and public or private research institutions, both national and international;
- Public health institutions and structures of the National Health Service;
- Experimental zooprophylacticzoo prophylactic institutes;
- Public and private diagnostic laboratories, in both human and veterinary sectors;
- Commercial offices providing consultancy in biotechnology-related areas, including patents and intellectual property;
- Diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries;
- Notified bodies and certification organizations;
- Clinical research monitoring (as Clinical Research Associate – CRA, or Clinical Monitor – CM);
- National and international regulatory agencies;
- Technology transfer companies;
- Scientific publishing and communication companies;
- Professional associations (scientific, industrial, patient-related);
- Institutions such as the Ministry of Health.
After passing the national licensing examination, graduates may register in Section A of the National Register of Biologists (Albo dei Biologi), which enables the practice of the regulated profession.
