Information on how and when to apply for graduation.

The graduation application

The graduation application is submitted online by accessing the Studenti Online service and involves the payment of stamp duty (amounting to €32.00).

If the application is submitted after the ordinary deadline and within the prescribed time limit, a fee of €100.00 is payable.

The graduation application is valid for one graduation session only.

If the student graduates in a subsequent graduation session, he/she must resubmit the graduation application and pay the stamp fee again.

The student, by the deadlines indicated below, must:

  • be in order with the payment of taxes;

It is recommended that you send the form in good time to fulfil the admission requirements for the final examination.

Characteristics of the final examination and editorial standards

The final examination for the award of the Master's degree consists of the writing and public discussion of a thesis prepared in an original manner by the student on a topic, emerging during the two years of study, agreed in advance with a Course professor.

The final examination is public and may be written, oral, practical, with paper, computer, audiovisual, multimedia or other media. The final degree examination will normally be assigned in a discipline that has been included by the student in the study plan; any exceptional situations will have to be assessed by the Degree Course Council.

The supervisor of the final examination is either the head professor of the discipline or the professor with whom the examination in that discipline was taken. The supervisor must be assisted by a co-rapporteur, who assists him/her during the thesis writing phase and takes an active part in the discussion of the thesis itself. The application for admission to the final examination is submitted online by accessing the Studenti Online service according to the timetable set by the Academic Senate.

In order to be admitted to the final examination, the student must have obtained all the credits envisaged by the education system for activities other than the final examination.
