Four are the main objectives at the core of Digital Minds
Objective 1 – Provide solid preparation in the key disciplines of cognitive science—psychology, philosophy (with a focus on epistemology, philosophy of language and mind), and digital science and technology (including AI and other emerging technologies)—integrating interdisciplinary approaches and digital tools to analyse and manage the interaction between human cognition and digital technologies.
Objective 2 – Develop analytical and technical skills to understand and manage the dynamic interaction between the human mind and digital technologies, especially the interoperability between natural and artificial cognition, by combining scientific and humanistic methods to address the cognitive, ethical and creative challenges of digital transformation.
Objective 3 – Provide in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of reasoning and communication processes, in order to analyse and enhance human–machine communication and improve decision-making quality in contexts of high digital and social complexity.
Objective 4 – Provide theoretical and applied tools to critically analyse and manage individual and collective decision-making processes in digital contexts, integrating philosophical, ethical-legal, psychological and neuroscientific approaches, together with competences in the arts.
