POSITIONS AVAILABLE
EEIV is a restricted access Programme: students must go through the evaluation procedure described on the specific « Call for Applications ». 25 positions are available for each curriculum: 19 for Italian, EU and EU-equivalent citizens and 6 for non-EU citizens living abroad. The total amount of position available is therefore 50, that is, 38 for Italian, EU and EU-equivalent citizens and 12 for non-EU citizens living abroad.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Holding an Italian First-cycle degree in one of the degree classes pursuant to D.M. 270/04 and D.M. 509/99. Italian Law 508/99 or a degree from a previous degree system, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. 
    Graduating students might apply as well, on condition they have acquired at least 153 ECTS credits at the expiration date of the admission round and will get their graduation within the date mentioned in the Call.
  2. Having gained at least 85 ECTS credits (CFU) in the following groups of SSD:
    - At least 48 CFU in: ING-INF/01 (Electronics), ING-INF/02 (Electromagnetic fields), ING-INF/03 (Telecommunications), ING-INF/04 (Automation), ING-INF/05 (Computer engineering), ING-INF/07 (Electric and electronic measurements), ING-IND/31 (Electrotechnics), ING-IND/32 (Electrical converters, machines and actuators), ING-IND/33 (Electric energy systems);
    - At least 32 CFU in: INF/01 (Computer science), MAT/02 (Algebra), MAT/03 (Geometry), MAT/05 (Mathematical analysis), MAT/06 (Mathematical probability and statistics), MAT/07 (Mathematical physics), MAT/08 (Numerical Analysis), MAT/09 (Operation research), SECS-S/02 (Statistics for experiments and technology), CHIM/03 (General inorganic chemistry), CHIM/07 (Chemical foundations of technology), FIS/01 (Experimental physics), FIS/02 (Theoretical physics), FIS/03 (Matter physics).
  3. Holding an English Proficiency certificate no lower than B2 (upper-intermediate level according to CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for languages). All specifics about certificates accepted will be clearly detailed on the "Call for Applications"; in the meantime please have a look at the attachment above.

ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE AND EVALUATION CRITERIA
The assessment will take into account:
1. Academic records (up to 70 points out of 100): Transcript of Records , CV, recommendation letters. The score's breakdown shall be detailed in the "Call for applications".
2. For those achieving at least 45 points in the above mentioned assessment > an Interview (up to 30 points out of 100),verifying the applicant’s technical, linguistic and soft skills. 
The threshold to be eligible is 60 points out of 100.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The whole application procedure will be made clear on the "Call for Applications". In order to apply, it might be required to pay an application fee. Applicants will be required to enclose the following documents:

1. Application form duly filled out;
2. University Degree diploma and Transcript of academic Record;
3. CV in English;
4. English proficiency certificate equivalent to at least B2 level;
5. ID document/ passport;
6. Residence permit (for non-EU citizens only);
7. Up to 2 reference letters in English.

RANKINGS AND ADMISSIONS
At the end of the selection round, merit-based rankings will be drawn up according to the positions available. Should positions go unfilled at the end of the application round, a brand-new admission procedure might be launched.
