How long does it take to activate an internship

It is necessary to respect the deadlines of the internship commission that are published on the bulletin board of the course of study. The Internship Commission shall meet monthly and the internship may begin at least five days after that date.

How long does an internship lasts

The duration of a single internship is determined by the number of credits provided by the course (1CFU is equal to 25 hours) and can take place within the time period indicated in the student attendance register and in any case within 12 months from the activation, which is used to record all the hours of internship.

Insurance and travel cover

The University of Bologna guarantees the insurance coverage for accident and third party liability exclusively for the period approved and reported in the attendance register.

For more information on coverage, see the Insurance Service page.

In case of transfers to locations not indicated in the approved program, to extend the insurance coverage the student must send prior e-mail to the Academic Tutor - and a copy to the Tutor of the host Subject and the Internship Office -  and wait for your permission by email.

What to do at the end of the internship

Once the amount of time required for the internship has been reached, the Tutor of the Host Subject must:

sign the attendance register of the student to certify the hours and the period of internship completed;
 sign the final internship report prepared by the student (or other documentation, if required by the course);
 fill in the end-of-internship questionnaire
