This event has been developed, on Stefanel's request, by Leandro Palanghi and Chiara Pompa (ZoneModa, University of Bologna) in cooperation with the students Federica Albano, Alice Bassoli, Beatrice D'Amore, Antonia Digennaro, Giorgia Fiori, Francesco Maffei and Chiara Marconi.
The event inaugurates the collaboration between the fashion study courses of the University of Bologna/Rimini Campus and the historic Italian fashion brand Stefanel. It aims to create a new alliance and a dialogue between art and fashion, two fields with increasing affinities. Central element of this event is the figure of the woman, with the intention to appreciate its essence by the means of twelve famous paintings of different epochs and artistic styles, representing portrays of women who became celebrated icons of style.
All those women who wish to participate in the event will be invited to relate themselves to the twelve works of art presented and to select the portray they feel most close to. The participants will wear garments of Stefanel's Autumn/Winter collection 2014/15: a stylist will receive them and counsel them to select a look in chromatic and stylistic consonance to the painting they choosed. In conclusion, participants will be accompanied to the photographic set where a picture of them and of the portray they choosed will be taken, a double feminine portray, as testimonial of the reference between faces and identity.
