This special lecture (in Italian) is dedicated especially to the 1st cycle degree students in "Culture e Tecniche della Moda", but will be of great interest also for the 2st cycle degree students in "Fashion Culture and Management".
Alberto Masotti, founder of the "La Perla" group, will speak about his own entrepreneurial biography in the fashion sector, but also about his more recent experience as maecenas, with the no profit foundation "Fashion Research Italy". This courageous and illuminated project will be based in Bologna, in a 7.000 square meter building, with the aim to offer an articulated system of services for researchers and professionals in the fashion field.
One of the first projects of the foundation will be the institution of a new Master's study programme in "Fashion, Design and Technologies", in partnership with the University of Bologna, together with an archive and digitalization project regarding the fashion companies' heritage. The foundation has already acquired an important draft fund regarding Fashion Textile, which once belonged to Renzo Brandone, historical collaborator of Etro.
Aside with Alberto Masotti, further contributions will be made by Alessandro Cecchini, director general of Fashion Research Italy, and Fabio Massaccesi, in charge of the foundation's archives and museum.
