Classrooms, labs and libraries

The course holds its lectures in classrooms located mainly in the buildings at Piazza San Giovanni in Monte 2, Via Zamboni 38, Via Zamboni 33, and Via Centotrecento 18.

The laboratories aim to allow students to experiment with the knowledge they have acquired. Thanks to technology, learning models and the guidance of tutors with advanced experience in laboratory practice, the laboratories are a key resource for teaching activities.

The reference library for the course activities is the History, Culture and Civilisation Library, which consists of seven subject sections.
Of the seven sections of the Library, three (Archaeology BO, Medieval Studies and Modern Sciences) have been located in the San Giovanni in Monte 2 complex in Bologna since 1996, while Geography is located at Via Guerrazzi 20, in the Collegio dei Fiamminghi building.
The other sections, on the other hand, still retain their historic locations: in the university citadel, in Via Zamboni, Ancient History is located in Palazzo Riario (at number 38), while Oriental Studies and Anthropology are on the ground floor of Palazzo Poggi (at number 33); Finally, Archaeology RA is located in the prestigious Casa Traversari-Palazzo Maioli (Via San Vitale 30) in Ravenna.
