The double degree in History at Bielefeld University

The Department of History and Cultures opens a call for up to 5 students to spend two semesters at Bielefeld University (Germany)

Bielefeld University is recognized as one of the leading centers for historical research on an international level. The Bielefeld School is not only a hallmark of modern, theoretically-oriented historical research, but also a place of lively scientific debate among professors, researchers, students, and scholars from other countries. Study groups organized by professors and students, weekly “colloquia” within the framework of the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology’s excellence project, special research areas, and numerous international collaborations create a stimulating environment in which Master's students (Laurea Magistrale) are encouraged to participate actively.

The Master of Arts in Geschichtswissenschaft aims to train historians, preparing them not only for traditional employment fields—museums, archives, universities, schools—but also for sectors such as media, public relations, foundations, education, and knowledge management within enterprises.
