Second Cycle Degree/Two Year Master in History and Oriental Studies

Integrated French-Italian Course 'History and Comparative Civilisations

The course offers training at Master's level based on the principle of double mobility (two semesters out of four) in one or two recognised partner universities, with the award of a double or multiple degree.

The Integrated Course in History and Comparative Civilisations aims to train young European researchers through a concrete study and research experience in two countries: the country of origin (which is also the country where the main enrolment takes place) and the partner country (France or Italy). The aim of the integrated course is to promote the real integration of all the participants in the project. For this reason, the movement of the two groups from Italy and France does not follow a parallel timetable, so that students from both countries can meet in the context of intensive research seminars whose topics change every year. Both in Bologna and in Paris, students are accompanied by a tutor who guides them through the various procedures and answers their questions on the organisation of their studies. The tutor's assistance is in addition to that normally provided by the French and Italian professors.

Particular attention is paid to learning the language of the partner country. In Bologna, the CLA (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo) offers French courses for students of the University of Bologna.
