Second Cycle Degree/Two Year Master in History and Oriental Studies

Medieval History and Archaeology – HISTARMED

The course offers training at Master's level based on the principle of double mobility (two semesters out of four) at one or two of the recognised partner universities, with the award of a double or multiple degree.

The history and archaeology of the Latin West, the Christian and Muslim Mediterranean, and the Slavic and Byzantine worlds between the 6th and 15th centuries are the subjects of the double degree.

The course provides in-depth knowledge of the medieval period, the techniques of documentary analysis applied to written and material sources, and the tools necessary for historical research. It refines the ability to conceive and carry out a research project, technical and linguistic skills, the ability to contextualise research, teamwork in a multidisciplinary and international context, and the communication of results.

The course includes a compulsory placement abroad. Courses are taught in the language(s) of the university.
