A competition by which the Alma Mater will award prizes to the two best projects applicable to health and safety protection in digital work has been launched. There will be two prizes, of 1500 euros each, for the two types of projects indicated in the relevant call for entries, aimed at students of the University's I and II cycle courses.
Eligible for the competition: audiovisual products, lasting up to one minute and made with amateur or professional digital devices (cell phone, tablet, video camera), which highlight individual behaviors aimed at preventing the risks and harms of digital work. The works must be based on theoretical models and scientific evidence of behavior change, with particular reference to nudge theories; Advanced Design projects capable of safeguarding the health and safety of female and male workers, developed as part of the master's degree program in Advanced Design.
From September 1 to 30, 2024, it will be possible to apply, individually or in groups. The Selection Committee will choose the best ten submitted papers, awarding the prize to the top two in both competition categories.
Originality of the topic covered, research methodologies used, presentation of the product, completeness and up-to-dateness of the bibliography cited, are the evaluation criteria on the basis of which the winners will be decided.
The active involvement of students will contribute to the awareness of the academic community and citizenship on the issues of occupational safety: those who have produced the ten best works will be able to present them during one of the days of “Sìcura” 2024, the third edition of the program of cultural events, practical experiences and moments of confrontation with which the University joins the European Week for Safety and Health at Work (Monday, October 21 to Thursday, October 25, 2024), dedicated this year to the impact of digital technologies on workers.
