Description of the project

The University of Bologna offers its students a financial contribution for spending a period of study abroad to prepare their thesis. As part of the project, the candidate will have to carry out research on issues of international content in which significant space is given to the material found during the period spent abroad, in order to produce a research project that can be validated by the supervisor of the thesis.

The scholarships are reserved exclusively to:

A. students enrolled in the second year for the A.y. 2023/24 in one of the following Master's degree programs of LILEC:

- Lingua e Cultura Italiana per Stranieri (LM-39 – Linguistica);
- Letterature Moderne, Comparate e Post-coloniali (LM-37 – Lingue e Letterature Moderne Europee e Americane);
- Language, Society and Communication (LM – 38 Modern Languages for communication and international cooperation);

who, at the time of submitting the application have already agreed with their supervisor
the title of the thesis/project and have a sufficient period of time available to carry out the proposed project.

The status of undergraduate student must be maintained throughout the period of stay abroad.

Any further information is available in the call for applications of LILEC (Allegato 5).

Incompatibility with other benefits

Scholarships for thesis abroad are incompatible with other European Community scholarships if they are related to the same stay. It is therefore not possible to benefit, in relation to the same period of mobility, of more than one contribution (prohibition of double financing) but it is possible to benefit, in the same academic year, of consecutive periods of mobility, if they have different purposes.
