Expected learning outcomes

The Master's Degree Program in Law, Economics and Governance enables the training of professional figures as executives and consultants in the legal and economic-financial area. Graduates possess in-depth knowledge and skills in the legal disciplines of economics, with particular attention to the regulation of economic activities and the regulation of companies and business contracts, and advanced skills in the economic-financial field, with specific reference to the topics of corporate governance, market regulation, economics of innovation and financial decisions, economics of intellectual property, as well as in the statistical-quantitative field.

Trained professionals can work in different organizational contexts such as industrial and commercial enterprises, especially in the field of information and communication technology, in public organizations, consulting firms, law firms, and banking and financial services firms.

The multi-disciplinary nature of the Course is reflected in the variety of learning activities in the legal and economic-financial fields offered to students and in the interdisciplinary approach that characterizes each subject, in which both legal and economic-financial aspects are presented in an organic and coordinated manner.

To respond innovatively to the growing needs of operating in multi-professional and multicultural contexts, the student also acquires soft skills in managing people, work groups and organizational processes, necessary for assuming positions of responsibility in resource management.

International markets are the reference of choice in the Course's learning activities, and with this in mind, students develop the skills of communicating with different interlocutors in heterogeneous environments and of collaborating within globally distributed work groups.

Specific learning objectives are as follows:

- be able to develop an advanced multidisciplinary and integrated understanding of relevant economic, financial and legal contexts;

- be able to analyze data and information of an economic-financial nature (economic data, forecasts, etc.);

- be able to conduct research in economic-financial and legal fields;

- be able to acquire skills in the areas of finance, innovation, business law and market regulation;

- be able to apply methods to analyze and make complex decisions in international contexts;

- acquire skills in communicating, conducting research and analyzing information in a global and multicultural context;

- be able to critically evaluate the rigor and validity of information sources and their relevance to organizational decisions;

- achieve skills in the integrated application of economic-financial and legal theories and techniques of analysis to the management of organizational problems;

- know how to critically evaluate the impact of rules on business operations and profitability, learning, where possible, to select the most efficient ones using tools and contractual clauses and corporate governance strategies.

These objectives are achieved through a curriculum that integrates legal and economic skills, offering the student the opportunity to address complex organizational problems from a multidisciplinary and international perspective.

In the first year, the student develops legal and economic knowledge with an integrated view of identifying and discussing relevant issues through two required courses of a legal nature and two required courses of economic nature. Also in the first year, the student also acquires "soft" skills, particularly useful in an interclass degree in which complementary visions are combined, in the area of sociology of organizations and knowledge of statistics essential for conducting economic-financial analysis

In the second year, the course of study includes, through three compulsory courses, an in-depth study from a legal and economic-financial perspective of issues related to business and international markets, particularly the European one. The student can then choose between two integrated courses focusing on topics of increasing relevance to companies in international contexts such as digital market regulation and intellectual property management and protection. Finally, the student can choose to develop additional specialized skills in the areas of applied economics and financial science, or, in the legal field, tax, agribusiness or transportation law.

The study experience is marked by the combination of theoretical models and concepts with the exposition and discussion of real cases and problems, and by intermediate tests that accompany the student toward the achievement of the educational objectives of the individual teaching.

Finally, students have the opportunity to engage in in-depth workshops and seminars and optional internships at institutions and organizations in preparation for future professional activity.
