On Monday October 23rd, 2023 LEGo faculty have organized a daylong visit to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) located in Parma.
EFSA is the reference body for risk assessment of food and feed in the European Union. Its work covers the entire food chain – from field to fork. It was established in 2002 and is one of a number of bodies that are responsible for food safety in Europe.
Thus, the Authority is a most relevant agency that applies norms, procedures, and strategies that are studied in LEGo programme, as well as a valuable possible future workplace. The students had the chance to understand how this authority functions and explore the opportunities they have to work there with the descriptive guidance of well-established professionals.
