Preparing the study plan

Information on how to prepare and present a study plan.

WHAT IS A STUDY PLAN?

The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.

WHO CAN PRESENT A STUDY PLAN?

A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of International (extra-UE) students, who hold a valid residence permit.

WHEN TO PRESENT YOUR STUDY PLAN

The study plan can be filled in and edited in two windows during the academic year.

Students can complete the Study Plan for the a.y. 2023-24 in the following two periods:

1st period:  from 28th September to 20th October 2023

- 1 December  - 15  December 2023  (ONLY for enrolling students or students transfering from another university)

2nd period: from 11th January to 23rd February 2024

After the deadlines, the last uploaded study plan will be considered valid. No further editing is allowed past the deadlines.

Please note that:

- it is NOT allowed to take exams of elective courses before the academic year in which these activities are planned in your course plan;

- it is NOT possible to fill in the study plan outside the above mentioned periods;

- it is NOT possible to take the exam of only one module of an integrated course (I.C.).

HOW TO PRESENT YOUR STUDY PLAN

Studenti Online

The study plan can be presented via Studenti Online by enrolled students who, accessing the website using their University usernames and passwords:
- need to add optional subjects to their plan;
- need to choose a curriculum;
- need to amend choices made in prior years.

After making the desired choices, remember to click on “save” so that your study plan can be presented correctly.

It is also advisable to print a copy of your completed study plan. This copy is in fact the only way to check for formal or substantive errors that might arise after uploading your study plan.

APPROVAL OF YOUR STUDY PLAN

In the first year you will be able to choose elective subjects for a minimum of 9 CFUs (maximum 27 CFUs). You can choose either to do an internship (9 CFUs) or you can choose any activities provided at Unibo. Such activities must be consistent with the LEGo curriculum.

In the procedure for choosing electives, you will be able to directly enter course units of open-access Master’s Degree Programmes. After you have made your choices remember to click "save" so that Study Plan can be correctly submitted. The completed plan will be visible immediately after completion online in your AlmaEsami profile. We also recommend that you always print a copy of the completed Study Plan. The copy, in fact, is the only means of verification in case of formal or substantive irregularities that may occur after uploading.

If you want to choose activities of restricted-access Master’s Degree Programmes instead, you will have to apply for them by filling out the file which can be downloaded in the box on the right. The document should also be filled out if you want to choose activities that do not involve a grade but a pass/no pass evaluation.

Submit the paper plan only if you are unable to complete the study plan online.

The form should be filled out correctly in all its parts and sent from your institutional address, to ems.bo.studenti@unibo.it. The form should be submitted in .pdf format.
