The Master's degree in Philosophy and Cognitive Science is a two-year interdisciplinary programme at the intersection of philosophy, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, and social studies of science. The programme aims to train students to engage critically with complex theoretical and empirical questions bout the mind, knowledge, and technology. The programme offers a comprehensive philosophical education across different areas (including a thematic-philosophical area, a historical-philosophical area and a methodological-practical area). This multidisciplinary curriculum spanning cognitive science, computer science, AI and social studies of science among others is highly flexible, allowing students to build an individualised academic path by selecting courses across different disciplines.
The program includes elective credits that allow students to add to their study plan courses selected from those available across the University, enabling them to personalize their academic path according to their interests or the need to acquire specialized skills useful for entering the job market.
In this regard, the program also offers the opportunity to complete a curricular internship at companies, organizations, or public institutions, providing students with an important chance to engage with the professional world. This internship can be undertaken starting from the first year, with the possibility of arranging experiences abroad.
