The aim of the program is to provide the theoretical, logical, epistemological, hermeneutical, and methodological tools necessary for reflecting on and understanding the existential dimension of the human being and their relationship with the natural, social, and cultural environment.
The main objectives to be achieved are the following:
- The ability to analyze, from a historical-critical perspective, the fundamental concepts of ethical, legal, political, and social thought, applicable also in professional contexts and in the fields of economics, communication, medicine, and bioethics.
- The acquisition of an awareness of the role of epistemology in the development of knowledge and in interdisciplinary relations, with particular attention to the study of the human mind and computer science.
- A well-developed critical-analytical and logical-argumentative competence regarding languages and creative and artistic phenomena.
- The ability to use philosophical knowledge to help solve problems in various experiential and existential contexts, with particular attention to themes of otherness, inclusion, sustainability, and gender issues.
- The ability to promote active philosophical reflection in political and social contexts, fostering the practice of critical thinking, the exchange of ideas, and dialogue.
- A flexible use, within project-based activities, of the interdisciplinary vocation and the intercultural mediation role of philosophy.
