Preparing the study plan

A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of international students, who hold a valid residence permit.

You can present and amend your study plan in specific periods during the academic year (usually from October to March). The specific periods for academic year 2026/2027 will be indicated in this page as soon as possible.

Following expiry of the deadlines, the last study plan presented will be deemed valid and no further amendments can be made.

Studenti Online

The study plan can be presented via Studenti Online by enrolled students who, accessing the website using their University usernames and passwords:

• need to add optional subjects to their plan;
• need to amend choices made in previous years.

After making the desired choices, remember to click on “Save” so that your study plan can be presented correctly. During the period indicated above, you can submit and modify the study plan without limitations.

It is also advisable to save a copy of your completed study plan. This copy is in fact the only way to check for formal or substantive errors that might arise after uploading your study plan.

If you are interested in adding a free choice learning activity that is not among those listed by your degree programme, search it by course code in the section called Insegnamento a scelta su ATENEO 010 - UNIVERSITA' DI BOLOGNA.

If the course you are interested in is offered by a degree programme with restricted access, please remember that different modalities and deadlines are envisaged. In particular, students are required to fill in and send a hard copy form, attached to this page.

Choices in the group related to the preparation of the Final Examination

Internship activities offered by the degree programme must be entered in the student’s academic record during the window scheduled for the submission of study plans. In cases where this was not possible within the specified deadline, they may be added at any time during the academic year by sending an email to the Internship Office (scienze.tirocini@unibo.it).
The email must indicate the course code and the full title of the internship to be added, as well as any activities to be removed (in the case of changes). The Internship Office will review the request and, if there are no inconsistencies with the degree programme’s teaching plan, will proceed with updating the student’s academic record in coordination with the Student Administration Office.

If you select elective subjects from among those offered by the degree programme, there is no need for assessment and your plan is approved automatically and input to your career file.

On the other hand, if you want to choose exams not specifically offered by your degree programme, approval or otherwise will be decided by the Degree Programme Board.
