Final Dissertation Sessions

Blended mode

Blended mode will be allowed for final exams scheduled until 31 August, according to the requests of graduating students who suffered damage in the flood: to this end, please contact the Graduation Board.

Extraordinary final exam session

An extraordinary final exam session is scheduled in September 2023, with the following deadlines:

  • Graduation application deadline: 17 July 2023
  • Late application deadline (with extra fee): 31 July 2023
  • Requisited and exams registered by: 31 July 2023
  • Deadline for student to upload thesis: 30 August 2023
  • Deadline for approval of thesis by supervisor: 4 September 2023
  • Graduation sessions: 14-15 September 2023

Students graduating this session will receive the same points as those awarded for July graduations.

Final Examination

The final examination consists of a master thesis on a topic which is consistent to your studies. It has to be written in an original way, under the guidance of a supervisor. The thesis will be defended publicly during a specific final examination session in front of a Committee.

The Committee will assess your performance using your curriculum as a reference. During the defence you may use slides and the Committee may ask you in-depth questions on methods, results and any developments of your work.

Graduation application

To submit your application online, you must access Studenti Online before the deadlines.

Admission Requirements

In order to graduate, you must have:

  • completed all the exams in your study plan and had them recorded;
  • paid all tuition fees;
  • uploaded the thesis in pdf format on Studenti Online. The thesis can be uploaded multiple times, until the requirements deadline expires. When uploading the thesis, the system will ask you to enter some key words and a brief abstract;
  • filled in the Alma Laurea questionnaire on Studenti Online.

The Student Administration Office will check if your requirements are fullfilled and will contact you in case you need to fix your position.

The graduation application is valid for just one graduation session. If you graduate in a later session, you will have to resubmit your graduation application and pay only the duty stamp.

One graduation session is scheduled each year. The session includes a number of dates, each with their deadlines for the submission of the graduation application, requirements and dates.

Graduation’s conference call: how guests can join the call

In order to allow your guests to take part in the graduation remotely, click on the button “Ospiti” available in the Graduation procedure on Studenti Online. You will receive an email with the credentials that should be used to log in to Teams and access the graduation virtual room. These credentials can be used by multiple people at the same time. Only after, share the link included in the invitation.
