The Participatory Budget (Bilancio partecipativo) is an initiative promoted by the City of Bologna in order to foster the participation of citizens in the governance of the city. Until 19th of November University students (whether or not they have permanent residence in town) can vote for one of the 33 projects submitted by various groups of citizens. From 2019, the projects that get the most votes for each one of the Bologna Neighbourhoods will be realized.
