The alumnus Alessio Crisafulli Carpani has been recently awarded by the Board of the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) as the author of one of the best theses submitted for the Master thesis competition 2025 of the EMOS network.

Dr. Crisaulli Carpani’s thesis ‘Privacy-enhancing technologies for synthetic data creation with deep generative models’ was jointly supervised by Prof. Cinzia Viroli and Dr. Massimo De Cubellis (ISTAT).
As the author of one of the top three best theses, Dr. Crisafulli Carpani has been invited to present his work in a dedicated EMOS award session at the international scientific conference New Techniques and Technologies for Statistics (NTTS), taking place between 11 and 13 March 2025 in Brussels.
