Frequent questions
The company/organization asks me to certify my safety training, what should I do?
The verification regarding the general and/or specific training on safety for students trainees
with external subjects is the responsibility of the host companies/bodies, which know their own degree of internal risk.
It is also possible to submit to the host Structure any safety certificates already carried out
through Unibo (you can download the certificates by accessing SOL) and/or personally, if
suitable and valid.
Internships within Alma Mater: can courses on Safety carried out in person or at another
University/Higher Institute be recognized?
For internal internships only, the Internship Office verifies the fulfillment of modules 1 and 2 on Security when checking the internship request presented in the application; only courses held via the e-learning platform can be directly verified. Any other certificates held by the student (courses held in person, also through external bodies such as other universities or higher institutes) can be sent to the Office in pdf, in the event that one or both of the required forms are requested.
The Company/Institution has placed an offer for me on SOL - Internships but I don't see
it; why?
The offer must be published by the Internship Office after the administrative verification. You will receive an e-mail when it is available for your acceptance.
I know that the Company/Organization has an agreement but I can't find it on SOL -
Internships, why?
The affiliated external structures can choose whether to be visible to students or not; in the latter case, you will not be able to apply independently, however the Company/Organization, if available, will have to insert an internship offer dedicated to you.
Can I carry out half an internship at a company/organization and half at another facility?
No, you can only select one host structure.
The operational (main) office of the internship and travel/outings; what are
arrangements?
The internship program must contain the address of the internship operational headquarters and the related Establishment/Department/Office. Any other secondary offices already known and necessary for carrying out the internship activities must be indicated in the program within the designated fields, reporting the address and name of the Facility.
It is also recommended that the procedures for carrying out the planned field trips be as detailed as possible (e.g. specify the place/areas of interest and whether the trainee will be accompanied on the move and supervised by the tutor also on site)
I have two internships in the study plan, can I do them both in the same company/organization?
Yes, unless otherwise indicated by the Internship Commission. Even in the case of internships activated on the same Structure (internal or external), two distinct internship requests must besubmitted in the application.
My internship is related to the thesis project, do I have to select the flag for the final
exam?
You must select the flag for the final examination only if in your study plan you have selected an internship "in preparation for the final exam". Otherwise, if the internship is called "curricular"
you do not have to select the option for final examination, even if the activity can still be linked to the final exam.
I started the internship before I downloaded the attendance registration. Are the hours
worked considered?
No, only the hours completed in the authorized period (p.1 of the register) will be recognized.
N.B. the period of development indicated in the approved internship program may be subject to changes following the affixing of the signatures required for the program itself.
I will carry out the internship with a mobility program (eg: Erasmus +, call for a foreign
thesis), do I have to get in contact with the Internship Office as well?
No, you must not "duplicate" the request (for the same internship) even with our procedure. Only
if you do not participate in any Unibo mobility program, it is possible to contact the Internship
Office for the activation of the internship and preliminary verification of the agreement for the foreign host structure.
