Guidance for final-year students and graduates

The guidance activities directly organized by the programme for graduating students and graduates is developed along two directions, with the interaction of different guidance activity plans:

Individual guidance

Like for the ongoing guidance for enrolled students, the entire programme's teaching staff is available to give advice also to graduating students and newly graduates, considering their individual study results and the occupational possibilities related to the field of studies.

Collective guidance

The programme fosters forms of "collective guidance" by organizing events and meetings between students and professionals or teachers of the field of studies.

  • guidance regarding the professional profiles and introduction to the world of work

This type of guidance is organized in synergy with the stakeholders related to the field of studies. For example, the lecture cycle "I mestieri dell'arte a Bologna. Incontro tra professionisti dell'arte e studenti del Corso di Laurea magistrale in Arti Visive" (Working with Art in Bologna. Meeting between Art professionals and Visual Arts MA students) offers conferences with representatives of the world of work connected to the arts.

- guidance regarding the continuation of studies and the research education

The programme in Visual Arts organizes, at the end of every academic year (around May), a meeting in cooperation with the Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Storici e Artistici of the University of Bologna and with the responsible Director for the Ph-D in Visual Arts Prof. Daniele Benati, entitled "Dopo la Laurea magistrale: percorsi di studio e ricerca" (After your Master's: research and study options), with the participation of teachers, students and graduates of the Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Storici e Artistici and with the participation of Ph-D students and graduates in Visual Arts, to inform graduating students and graduates about further study and research possibilities.

In addition, the University of Bologna offers support to those who intend to continue their studies or enter the world of work.
