The competition has been launched through which Alma Mater will reward the two best projects applicable to the protection of health and safety in digital work. Two prizes, each worth 1,500 euros, are planned for the two types of projects specified in the related call for applications, aimed at students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the University.
The competition is open to: audiovisual products, with a maximum duration of one minute, created using amateur or professional digital devices (mobile phones, tablets, video cameras), highlighting individual behaviors aimed at preventing the risks and harms of digital work. The projects must be based on theoretical models and scientific evidence of behavioral change, with particular reference to nudge theories; Advanced Design projects capable of safeguarding the health and safety of workers, developed within the Master’s program in Advanced Design.
Applications can be submitted individually or in groups from September 1 to 30, 2024. The judging committee will select the top ten works submitted, awarding prizes to the top two in each of the competition categories.
The evaluation criteria for determining the winners will include the originality of the topic, the research methodologies used, the presentation of the product, and the completeness and up-to-date nature of the cited bibliography.
The active involvement of students will contribute to raising awareness within the academic community and the public on workplace safety issues: the creators of the ten best works will have the opportunity to present them during one of the days of “Sìcura” 2024, the third edition of the program of cultural events, practical experiences, and discussions through which the University participates in the European Week for Safety and Health at Work (from Monday, October 21 to Thursday, October 25, 2024), which this year is dedicated to the impact of digital technologies on workers.
