Preparing the study plan

Information on how to prepare and present a study plan.

WHAT IS A STUDY PLAN?

The study plan is the complete set of exams that you need to sit in order to graduate. Some exams are compulsory, while others are elective.

WHO CAN PRESENT A STUDY PLAN?

A study plan can be presented by properly enrolled students who have paid their tuition fees and, in the case of International (extra-UE) students, who hold a valid residence permit.

WHEN TO PRESENT YOUR STUDY PLAN

The study plan can be filled in and edited in two Windows during the academic year.

Students can complete the Study Plan for the a.y. 2024-25 in the following two periods:

1st period:  from 30th September to 20th October 2024

- from 2nd December to 12th December 2024 (ONLY for enrolling students)

2nd period: from 14th January to 21st February 2025

After the deadlines, the last uploaded study plan will be considered valid. No further editing is allowed past the deadlines.

Please note that:

- it is NOT allowed to take exams of elective courses before the academic year in which these activities are planned in your course plan;

- it is NOT possible to fill in the study plan outside the above mentioned periods.

HOW TO PRESENT YOUR STUDY PLAN

Studenti Online

The study plan can be presented via Studenti Online by enrolled students who, accessing the website using their University usernames and passwords:
- need to add optional subjects to their plan;
- need to choose a curriculum;
- need to amend choices made in prior years.

After making the desired choices, remember to click on “save” so that your study plan can be presented correctly.

It is also advisable to print a copy of your completed study plan. This copy is in fact the only way to check for formal or substantive errors that might arise after uploading your study plan.

Hard-copy forms

Students who are “fuori corso” (past envisaged completion time for the degree course) or who have transferred in cannot use the Studenti Online system and must use the hard-copy forms.
All parts of the form must be completed correctly and delivered to: ems.bo.studenti@unibo.it administrative office, in .pdf format.

APPROVAL OF YOUR STUDY PLAN

If you select elective subjects from among those offered by the degree programme, there is no need for assessment and your plan is approved automatically and input to your career file.

On the other hand, if you want to choose exams not specifically offered by your degree programme, approval or otherwise will be decided by the Degree Programme Board.

WARNING!:Students enrolled in the second year for the academic year 2023/24 and those enrolled as "fuori corso" students can only modify their study plan if they complete their enrollment for the academic year 2024/25 by paying the related fees. If you choose this option, be aware that you will NOT be able to take advantage of the March 2025 graduation session (the last session of the 2023/24 academic year) and will only be able to graduate starting from July 2025, the first session of the 2024/25 academic year.

INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY STUDENTS:

For students participating in international mobility programs: For other activities where the exam is expected to be taken in Bologna, the student must complete the web-based study plan within the normal deadlines, regardless of the completion of the Learning Agreement.
