Obiettivi e percorso formativo

Il corso fornisce agli studenti una formazione avanzata sulle sfide che manager, consulenti e imprenditori si trovano ad affrontare in qualunque contesto aziendale, con una prospettiva rivolta alla realtà internazionale. Il risultato è l’acquisizione delle conoscenze per intraprendere una carriera manageriale in imprese industriali, in società di servizi e di consulenza, anche attraverso lo sviluppo di attitudini imprenditoriali riferibili all’innovazione e/o all’avvio di nuove imprese. Carattere qualificante il livello avanzato del corso di studio sarà la particolare attenzione alla natura interdisciplinare dei problemi e all’integrazione tra le conoscenze economico-aziendali e quelle economiche, matematico-statistiche e giuridiche.
Il corso di studio offre la possibilità di conseguire un doppio diploma con Università partner straniere.

Il laureato può svolgere i seguenti ruoli professionali: Manager nell’area marketing, commerciale e organizzazione presso imprese industriali e di servizi, società di consulenza e imprese. Manager nell’area finanza e controllo e analista e consulente finanziario presso imprese industriali e di servizi, banche e organi di vigilanza, istituzioni finanziarie, società di consulenza finanziaria e fondi di investimento, società di consulenza di Direzione aziendale.  Consulente o imprenditore per l’avvio di nuove imprese, consulenza specializzata per lo start up di nuove imprese e società di investimento.

Presentation

The two-year postgraduate degree course in Economics and Management provides the international curriculum Business and Administration entirely taught in English. As future managers, consultants and entrepreneurs, students will acquire advanced knowledge about business administration and entrepreneurial skills connected to innovation and business start-up projects. A special focus will be placed on the interdisciplinary character of managerial skills in an international context, by bridging fields like economics, statistics mathematics and law. 

Admission requirements

An eligible first-cycle or Bachelor’s degree as well as fluency in written and spoken English (B2 level). Previous knowledge in the areas of economics, management and statistics may be helpful but it is not a compulsory requirement. Admission will depend on the assessment of students’ knowledge and skills by an Admission Board, according to the procedures and criteria specified in the call for applications, (i.e. mainly academic merit and background, study experiences abroad, reference letters, oral interview) available on the course webpage. Programme contents

The degree programme has a study load of 120 ECTS. First year modules cover the areas of decision-making and strategy, quantitative methods, law, international economics, accounting, food supply chain management and business plan. Second year B&A modules cover the areas of finance, international management and marketing.  The programme also includes a job placement seminar and a final dissertation. Students may personalize their study plan with elective courses and internships. They may also exploit the opportunity to participate in a Double Degree Programme with Neoma Business School – Reims and ICN Business School – Nancy.

 Career opportunities

Graduates will be trained to carry out professional roles such as:

  • Marketing and HR manager within manufacturing, service and consultancy companies, banks and insurance companies, in both local and international contexts;
  • Finance-control manager, financial and managerial consultant and analyst in industrial and service companies, banks, surveillance bodies, financial institutions, consultancy companies, investments funds, in both national and international contexts;
  • Entrepreneur, Consultant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in business start-ups.

Presentation

Food System Management (FoodSys) is a 2nd Cycle Degree taught in English. The programme builds on the connections between different fields of knowledge FOCUSED ON FOOD SYSTEMS to train prospective decision-makers in facing real management problems in international contexts and diverse organizational settings. It is an economics-centred and multidisciplinary programme, providing a combination of analytical and quantitative skills with an emphasis on management, policy and practice.
The first year programme will be held in Forlì and the second year programme will take place in Bologna (at the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine).

Learning outcomes

As future managers, advisors and entrepreneurs in agro-food and rural systems, students will acquire advanced knowledge about business administration and entrepreneurial skills. Specific competencies will include knowledge of agro-food, environmental economics, business logistics and food supply chain management, food quality management, international food marketing, food and agricultural policy, rural economics and policy, international relations and projects management.

FoodSyS graduates will have the opportunity to access a wide range of managerial positions in food businesses, consultancy companies, public administrations, local and international agencies with positions in the following units / offices:
