IGOP researcher Lara Maestripieri has launched a call for PhD students who want to join the Next-Up project which aims to explore the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on the transition of youth from school/education to work/employment
At the IGOP (UAB Barcelona), we offer a 3-year PhD position to explore the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on the transition of youth from school/education to work/employment. The successful candidate will be integrated into the Spanish research team of the project NEXT-UP, funded under the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL2-2024-TRANSFORMATIONS-01-10: The Next-Up project
The perfect candidate must be enthusiastic about qualitative methods, especially with a background in researching youth transitions or conducting biographical interviews. English and Spanish proficiency are essential for this role, along with strong sociology skills. The project employs an intersectional analysis framework, so candidates knowledgeable in this area are strongly encouraged to apply. This role involves travelling to other universities within the NEXT-UP consortium for fieldwork.
