Information for 2022/23 incoming exchange students - LMCU Medicina e Chirurgia (Bologna)

INFORMATION FOR MEDICAL EXCHANGE STUDENTS IN THE CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY PERIOD

VACCINATIONS: Students will be required to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3rd Dose) upon arrival and bring the vaccination certificate (EU Covid Certificate) with them.

Please note that violations to the applicable Containment rules are subject to the penalties provided for Italian law 22/05/2020, n. 35.

 

Remember that you will attend a public health environment and, therefore, you are expected to keep an adequate behavior in order to contain the spread of the pandemic – both while carrying out academic activities (classes, exams, clinical rotations) and in your personal life.

BEFORE YOUR EXCHANGE

Check whether your home University has an agreement with us

for student mobility for studies (e.g. Erasmus+ Studies, Overseas, etc.). If no agreement is in place, we regret that we cannot accept you as an exchange student;

Read the general information page for all incoming exchange students at the University of Bologna - it covers topics such as accommodation, language courses, healthcare, etc. ("Prima di arrivare"), as well as your first days in Bologna ("Durante il periodo di scambio").

Submit your final Learning Agreement

duly signed and stamped by your home University Coordinator, by the following deadlines:

Learning Agreements must be submitted through your AlmaRM account - see instructions within the information booklet.

Please remember to use your institutional mailbox (name.surname@studio.unibo.it) for correspondence with our offices after you complete your online pre-registration.

UPON ARRIVAL / DURING YOUR EXCHANGE

Check in as soon as you arrive in Bologna (see "Durante lo scambio" > "Check in").

Please carry out these arrival procedures:

  • Participate to the welcome meeting: September 21st, 14:00, Aula Murri - Polo Murri, 2nd floor, Via Massarenti 9, 40138 Bologna (see map)
  • Medical Check: students who plan to carry out clinical rotations are required to attend a medical check appointment; details will be sent to your institutional mailbox (name.surname@studio.unibo.it) after your arrival. Dates of the medical check cannot be changed.

You can use either the form provided by your home University, or the Erasmus+ template provided in the "Allegati" box on the right-hand side of this page.

 

If you wish to add clinical rotations to your Learning Agreement, please remember to check the list of clinical rotations for incoming exchange students and the health requirements ("Before your exchange" section of this page and "Allegati" box on the right side of this page).

 

BEFORE LEAVING BOLOGNA AT THE END OF YOUR EXCHANGE

Check that all your grades are recorded on AlmaEsami.

If any grades are missing, please contact the Professor(s) in charge to clarify any matter related to the exam itself. If the grade is missing due to technical problems, please contact us as soon as possible.

Complete the checkout procedure

("Alla fine del periodo di scambio").

You may check out of our University and return to your home country even if some of your grades are still missing - just remember to inform the International Student Desk staff about it.

Please return all the books you borrowed from the University libraries before leaving!
