The theme of this year's World Pharmacists Day (WPD) celebrated on 25 September 2020 is "Transforming global health”. Now more than ever, the role of the pharmacist is crucial to improving health standards in every corner of the world by advocating for healthier living and benefits from access to safe and affordable medicine, health technologies, and pharmaceutical care services.
The World Pharmacists Day theme is an opportunity to communicate how pharmacists are transforming health through a variety of health services in their communities, including advising on healthy living, vaccinating to prevent disease, and ensuring that medicines are taken correctly, thereby managing diseases well and improving quality of life.
