What are OFA (Additional Learning Requirements) and how to fulfil them

What are the OFA?

To enroll in the Degree Programme in Pharmacy it is important to have enough basic knowledge. The verification of knowledge, the modalities of which are detailed in the Call for Applications ("Bando di Ammissione"), aims to verify that you do not have significant deficiencies in particular disciplines for which adequate preparation is required to study profitably.

Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) is assigned to the winners of the selection who have obtained a score inferior to 13 out of 50 in the English TOLC-F test.

OFA and enrolment in the years following the 1st

If you have been assigned an OFA, in the year following the 1st you will be enrolled:

  • in the 2nd year if you have already completed the OFA;
  • in the 2nd year under condition if you have not completed the OFA yet. You will be enrolled under condition until you will have completed the OFA and in any case until March 31st. As soon as you complete the OFA, the enrolment status changes from 2nd year under condition to 2nd year (not under condition). If you do not fulfill the OFA by March 31st, you will be enrolled as a student repeating the 1st year.

Students who do not meet the Additional Learning Requirements in the 1st year of the Degree Programme, will not be able to take the exams of the following years.

How to fulfill the OFA

The OFA is considered fulfilled with the passing of the exam of Elements of Animal Biology, Elements of Genetics (I.C.) or of all the exams of the 1st year.

Deadlines

The deadline for fulfilling the OFA coincides with the deadline of the exam session of the Academic Year of enrolment, which is March 31st 2025 for students enrolled in the A. Y. 2023/24.
