The speaker presents traditional and new pricing mechanisms to optimize revenues in the hospitality industry. Starting from traditional financial measures, the talk suggests new pricing mechanisms (i.e. Dynamic pricing, Pay-What-You-Want and Shapley Value decomposition) discussing their implications in terms of consumer price fairness. The presentation includes field experiments that assess the revenue effectiveness of these mechanisms and ocncludes with some remarks on how to deal with online reputation.
