Professor Francioni has published extensively in the field of international cultural heritage law, has participated in the negotiation of most international treaties on the subject in the past twenty years, and has been the President of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
His most recent publications include The 1972 World Heritage Convention : a Commentary (Oxford University Press, 2008), and Enforcing International Cultural heritage Law, Oxford Univ. Press, 2013
