The 1st cycle degree programmeprovides students with basic competencies and knowledge to work in variousbusiness functions in different types of company (profit, non-profit, privateand public), in business consulting organisations and freelance professions.
The aim is to:
- provide the analytical tools required tounderstand the developments in the environment businesses operate in;
- provide basic tools and knowledge totrain administrative and managerial profiles employed in businesses or workingon a freelance basis;
- train operators able to transformbusiness ideas into sustainable administrative, organisational and financialprojects;
- provide the basic skills for accountingand auditing professions.
In this regard, the teaching programmefocuses on basic learning in economics, management, law and mathematics andstatistics, by studying the main theories and analysing the operative toolsthat lie behind the decision-making processes of business management.
Admission to the degree programme inEconomics and Business is subject to possession of:
The possession of a five-year secondaryschool diploma or equivalent suitable qualification obtained abroad, or afour-year secondary school diploma and diploma for the relative supplementaryyear, or, where no longer active, admitted students will be assigned additionallearning requirements.
- sound knowledge of and ability to use thekey instruments of basic mathematics.
Candidates not passing the assessment willbe assigned additional learning requirements.
These additional learning requirements aresubject to specific assessment.
Students who do not complete the additionallearning requirements by the date set by the competent bodies and in any casewithin the first year of the programme will be required to enrol as repeatingstudents in the first year.
Admission to the degree programme is alsosubject to the assessment of knowledge and skills in the English language.
