The conferral of the Honorary Doctorate in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences aims to recognize the exceptional contribution of Professor Shin’ya Yamanaka in revolutionizing the dogma of the irreversibility of the mechanisms regulating cellular differentiation, as well as in the development of technologies that have paved the way for an innovative and versatile method for diagnosis and therapy.
