The 1st cycle degree programme aims to produce a professional figure equipped with general geographical knowledge and in particular the theoretical, technical and methodological tools for interpreting how the lanscape changes under the interaction of various human activities among each other and with the environment. The programme provides the basic outline of the geographical and other disciplinary tools used to analyse the demographic, historical, cultural, economic and anthropological processes behind a changing landscape and its representation. It goes on to provide the skills for interpreting maps, documentary sources (texts, statistics, pictures) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) towards a complex assessment and description of interacting geographical factors.
